Mapping: HIV Testing Centres
Mapping the manifold venues that provide HIV screenings in Lebanon is a practical need. It also allows us to visualise their geographic distribution and to identify the closest centre. While this map shows the most known HIV screening centres in Lebanon, it only lists the still-operating venues that appear on Google Maps and that conduct anonymous, free of charge, rapid tests. The map is based on the latest edition (23 Oct. 2015) of the MOPH Voluntary Counselling and Testing Centres publication that you can access here, and that comprises the Ministry's full listing of centres. Not all venues mentioned in the publication provide a rapid test; some are paid, and require a doctor prescription along with a copy of your ID.
Click on the red pointer to display the name of the centre, its logo, address on Google Maps, phone number, website, detailed address and a brief presentation as featured on the centre's page. We recommend you contact the centre before you show up to make sure they are open.
To navigate the map with your smartphone and find out the closest screening centre to you, open this page on your phone, and press the [ ] icon (expand map), located at the top-right of the map. It automatically opens in Google Maps. The map is saved to your Google Mapshistory, and you can always come back to it by opening Google Maps menu (the three horizontal lines next to "Search Google Maps), then clicking on Your Places, Maps and selecting "HIV Testing Venues in Lebanon".
