Beirut Pride offers you numerous ways to support our activities and projects. We will provide you with a safe workspace, free from discrimination, disrespect, and discouragement, in which you get to receive guidance, attend trainings, learn, and be a co-worker with consideration for personal preference, temperament, education, and experience. We would love to hear from you, discuss your opinions and assist you climb the ladder of organizing Beirut Pride. In recognition for the hard work you’ll do, the time you’ll put in, and the help you’ll give, we need you to be sure you truly want to dedicate your time and effort, to think of the services you offer and the value they are going to add, to be receptive to learning and to criticism, to be honest and bring matters to us rather than bad mouthing. Waiver Acceptance
In order to be accepted as a volunteer at Beirut Pride, I hereby agree, for myself, my heirs, my guardians, and each of their successors and assigns, to the following terms.
20. Insurance *
Beirut Pride contracts an insurance policy to cover the participants in all the events it organizes, and the Red Cross is present on site. Beyond the coverage of the insurance policy, I agree to assume all risks, dangers, and injuries associated with being involved in Beirut Pride, and release and hold harmless Beirut Pride and its successors and assigns from any and all liability, claims, and demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or in equity, which arise or may hereafter arise from my volunteer work with Beirut Pride. I understand that this waiver discharges Beirut Pride from any liability or claim that I may have against Beirut Pride with respect to bodily injury, personal injury, illness, death, or property damage that may result from my participation in Beirut Pride. I also fully understand that, beyond the contracted policy insurance, Beirut Pride does not assume any responsibility for or obligation to provide financial assistance or other assistance, including but not limited to medical, health or disability insurance, in the event of injury, illness, death, or property damage. I hereby release Beirut Pride from any claim whatsoever which arises or may arise in the future on account of any first aid treatment or other medical services that are conducted in connection with an emergency during my time at Beirut Pride.
21. Visibility *
I agree that in performing as a volunteer at Beirut Pride, my name, photograph, video image, voice recording, and other likenesses created during the event shall at all times be the property of Beirut Pride, its successors and assigns, and such name, photograph, video image, voice recording, and other likenesses may be used by Beirut Pride, its representatives, successors and assigns, for any reason, at any time, in perpetuity, without consulting me and without compensating me.
22. Code of conduct *
I agree to abide by the guidelines of the Code of conduct and by all rules and regulations as prescribed by Beirut Pride managers and leadership.
23. Spokesperson & Decision-making *
I agree that I am not authorized to speak for Beirut Pride and I shall not obligate Beirut Pride in any contractual matter, nor do I have decision-making authority with regard to public safety matters and outside my scope of work.

25. Waiver competence *
I expressly agree that this waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of Lebanon, that this waiver shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Lebanon. I agree that in the event that any clause or provision of this waiver shall be held to be invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such clause or provision shall not otherwise affect the remaining provisions of this waiver which shall continue to be enforceable.
