Since its inception in May 2017, Beirut Pride has been highly coveted by the media outlets. While a few journalists relay on generic articles for their stories, most reach out for Beirut Pride for a personalized interview. Despite our attention to detail, some editorials featured a few inaccuracies that we look forward to avoiding in the upcoming press coverage. We noticed, for example, journalists wanting to include a maximum of information in a limited number of words, which led to editorial misunderstandings and to an incorrect interpretation that gives false information to the reader and that can harm the reputation of Beirut Pride and its efforts in our advancement toward decriminalization of sexual intercourse between consenting adults in non-public spaces.

In an attempt to provide each journalist with a quality experience, to contribute to precise and true information, and to acknowledge the time and contribution of those involved in the article, we have tapped into editorial misunderstandings and inaccuracies and put together this request, asking editors to complete to it for a smooth collaboration and an optimal coverage.

II. Interview Background
Please provide us with a description of the media outlet policy, political line and affiliations. An URL link would also do.
To get familiar with the style of the media and with how stories are covered.
This part allows us to avoid incorrect affiliation. We were once approached by a journalist who claimed to be writing for a media, only to discover later on that the media outlet hadn't hired him. Another time the media did not agree with the journalist pitch (which we discovered after we worked on the story). A third time the story was not published because the journalist couldn’t sell it. While we are familiar with freelance journalism and its challenges, we appreciate background information to secure a good collaboration.
What is the journalist arguing for? What message does the story want to convey? Which angles is the journalist interested in? Who else is featured in the story? What are the journalist interview requests?
